Why 'Tipperdowney'

I grew up on a farm in a rural area of Co Antrim, in Northern Ireland

At the bottom of the house in the vegetable garden there is the remains of an old farmhouse, the only thing remaining is the stone gable wall.

This is the only remaining building of an old settlement locally called Tipperdowney, some people call it Chipperdowney, the people mostly left Ireland during the potato famine in the late 1840's to immigrate to America, via Liverpool.

I have never been able to see an old map with this district name on it, or ever get a translation of what the name means - if you know email me.
